The success of Royal Albert dates back to the late 1800’s. In 1896 Thomas Clarke
Wild, with his father, bought the AlbertWorks in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. In
1897, Thomas Wild & Co produced a range of commemorative pieces for Queen
Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee, an association with royalty that continues to this
day. The company name Royal Albert Limited, was registered late in 1906 and the
range featured here celebrates the past 100 years of Royal Albert. All the
patterns are inspired by designs produced over the past ten decades, many of
which feature delicate florals, a theme that has become Royal Albert’s
signature. |
